Needs to have some other part in description to where if blind is on the target
blind doesn't stack with the chance of a miss(IP's) but more like insidious parasite has it's own chance of missing and won't be uberly overpowered when foe is blinded.
Lol wut?

Never EVER as a melee player have I been worried about Insidious Parasite.

It's not overpowered. Why would you nerf it?

Not that it matters. They aren't fixing classes that need major changes so they definitely aren't going to do anything as asinine as that.

TBH backfire is probably least dangerous to a monk, it's the other casters that have to worry about backfire. Unless the monk is a noob, they will ALWAYS have some form of hex removal for such skill. All it takes is one hex removal, then heal away. I agree with you that empathy can be totally unfair to melee characters, especially warriors. But again, shut down is a part of what the Mesmer is, it is you who has to be cleave and beat it.
Your join date shows your new, but I doubt you are. I absolutely agree with you, perfect response. I play warrior as my primary and I hate mesmers but they can be defeated. Put a mesmer in a hammer knockdown spam they will drop like flies or a heavy interrupt build will shut them down as well. Any monk that doesn't have hex removal is just taking up space in my opinion, hex and condition removal is the purpose of a monk.

Empathy isn't that bad unless you don't have a monk. Usually you'll be doing a lot more damage than empathy to the mesmer anyway. Sure it's more annoying than insidious parasite and SS but it's not completely devastating (like SV or VoR).

Also monks purposes are keeping things alive. Be that through getting rid of a deadly hex or pushing red bars.
